A Physical Therapist (PT) is a licensed health care professional who is responsible for evaluating a patient, determining the musculoskeletal diagnosis and developing a personalized treatment plan based on the specific deficits and needs of each patient. A Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is a licensed health care professional who operates under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. S/he assists in carrying out patient treatment plans.
